Stacey Kargman, N.M.D., L.Ac.
Stacey Kargman, N.M.D, L.Ac., is a Board-certified Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Diplomate of Acupuncture. She is licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians and the Maryland Board of Acupuncture. After graduating from Hampshire College, with a B.A. in psychology and women's studies, she received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine and Master's in TCM Acupuncture degrees from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, Arizona in 1996 and 1997, respectively. She is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Maryland Association of Naturopathic Physicians and the NCCAOM.
Dr. Kargman was in private practice in Tucson, Arizona from 1997-2000, then she moved back to the east coast and began her practice in Baltimore. In April 2001, she took over the Maryland Natural Health Center in Owings Mills, MD and began working at Acupuncture Associates of Annapolis.
Aside from her private practice in Tucson, Dr. Kargman worked with the Southern Arizona AIDS Foundation as their Complementary Medicine Physician, working with patients and their primary-care physicians in helping patients improve their health and quality of life while being HIV+. As well, she also worked with the Tucson Rape Crisis Center as a Forensic Examiner providing exams and support for people after they had been raped or sexually assaulted.
In her current practice, Dr. Kargman treats a wide variety of clients of all ages for both acute and chronic conditions. Her primary modalities include acupuncture, herbal medicine, nutritional and lifestyle counseling, homeopathy, Ericksonian Hypnotherapy, and craniosacral therapy. Her specialties include women's health, hormonal balancing, gastrointestinal disorders, allergy testing and elimination, endocrine imbalances, mood disorders including chronic anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and addictions and management of chronic migraine headaches.
Dr. Kargman enjoys working in collaboration with other healthcare providers in order to provide the best and most comprehensive care for her patients. Currently, Dr. Kargman provides services virtually and in -person. The Maryland Natural Health Center is now located in Pikesville at MEND- Quarry Lake. Throughout her time in Baltimore, she has worked at the Kolmac Clinic located on the Sheppard Pratt campus, the Mid-Atlantic Headache Institute as well as Ruscombe Mansion.
In addition to her practice, Dr. Kargman has been a faculty memeber at the University of Maryland -UMBC- teaching classes in Women's Health and The Baltimore School of Massage. She is past President and Treasurer of the MNDA (Maryland Naturopathic Doctors Association), and is a member of AANP (American Association of Naturopathic Physicians), PsychANP (Psychiatric Association of Naturopathic Physicians), and MAS (Maryland Acupuncture Association).
